Rob Worrell, Student Mentor Program Coordinator at Victoria University, was looking through AchieVeU’s onboarding data when he filtered for students who identified as neurodivergent.

The result surprised him. 8.7% of registered users appeared.

Then came the second surprise. Most had not formally disclosed it elsewhere at the university.

That meant Rob had found a group of students sharing information about themselves in a context where they felt able to do so.

From there, the question became simple: What should VU do with that insight?

The response became NeuroNavi, a peer-led support space shaped by neurodivergent students.
