The global higher education sector has serious challenges, which have been accelerated due to COVID-19. Retention, engagement and employability are higher education hot-button issues for providers, policymakers and the public. These challenges are complex: there is no one solution to fixing them, but this preliminary study suggests that accessible peer mentoring through Vygo contributes to solving them and gives students a better chance of success.
In particular, 62% of students who were contemplating discontinuing their studies are now determined to keep pursuing them, after having easier to access mentoring and support services.
