About the Study

Recognising the challenges faced by students—especially international, mature-aged, and diverse-background students—in adjusting to university life, Victoria University implemented this program to provide structured, accessible peer mentoring. Through Vygo, students are matched with trained mentors who guide them in academic skills, university processes, and social integration, fostering confidence, engagement, and a sense of belonging. This approach not only enhances student success but also creates a supportive, connected university experience.
